Viva Primary Healthcare For The Masses! Viva...woof!

During 2009 we took the bold (and rather expensive) step of constructing a dedicated surgery & clinic as well as employing our own in-house veterinary surgeon in order to provide care to the countless animals that would otherwise not be attended to by a professional person.

Our poor Vet did not know what she let herself in for - the response and demand has been absolutely overwhelming! From broken legs to viral infections, it has been treated...not to mention the hundreds of sterilizations!

However, in order to properly treat all the animals we receive we need proper (and costly) equipment. Unfortunately some equipment remains desperately needed, but beyond our reach due to cost restraints.

If you are in a position to help (Corporates and retrired Vets...nudge, nudge, wink, wink...) and would like to make a contribution by purchasing a specific piece of equipment, well, here's the list:

DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT:

Refractometer for urine SG and TSP readings

Centrifuge for urine analysis and haematocrit measurement

Olympus microscope with 100x magnification and adjustable stage

Digital (portable) or normal X-Ray machine with processor

HOSPITAL EQUIPMENT:

Hospital cages

Isolation unit (2 cages with seperate drainage & plumbing)

SURGICAL EQUIPMENT:

Orthopaedic equipment (pins, external fixation resin material, bone rongeurs)

REFERENCE MATERIAL:

Any veterinary medicine books i.e Ettingers, Surgical Methods For Small Animals. Clinical Pathology/Cytology books.

In return for your generosity we can guarantee exposure on our website and on our "Wall of Fame", as well as 234 wagging tails and 64 purrs of contentment....

Please contact us regarding ways in which you would like to make a donation or help to sustain our activities
